  1. My heart cannot take the feels!! I am such a Huo Qu Bing fangirl and Eddie is playing him. I adore Eddie in modern roles and I am a little more than cautiously optimistic that he will put his acting chops to good use. Heck, who am I kidding, I am over the moon. I don’t what anyone says, he is end game for moi. Hu Ge is good too but his character in the novel just wasn’t my style. We’ll see, we’ll see. I am dying for subtitles. I’ll probably end up watching 3 times. Anyway, thank you for the links.

    1. *hi-5* I’m on Huo Qu Bing’s ship too, for me I adore Eddie Peng so I could be bias on my opinions on his acting here. Regardless I’m super happy they finally broadcast the damn show.

  2. Thank you so much for these links!!! I was so afraid i would find videos that would show the entire episode and at the end repeat half of the episode again…
Im on the Eddie ship too<3 Even though I love Huge a lot but ever since I read the book, I have always love Huo Qubing and to add on Eddie is playing him too! I like Eddie too, he is so boyish and charismatic!

    1. You’re welcome, YAY to more Eddie shippers, despite his pointy chin I still find him charismatic as ever. I find that both Hu Ge and Eddie fit the role they have chosen to act, which is a bonus.

  3. It’s finally airing! After waiting for a year I can’t even describe my feelings about that its really out for me to watch!

The only thing I would like to complain is probably only the change of characters’ names (I’m used to HQB being HQB and YJ being YJ)

And thanks for the link sutekii (no wonder I couldn’t find it on youtube, the title name is different)

      1. Have you seen today’s episode? It had me laughing so bad at Wei Wu Ji’s scene when he sat on the horse and water gushed out LOL

Also did you watch the hunan version or the uncut version? I had to re watch the uncut episodes again

      2. Liu Shi Shi surely didn’t disappoint me with her role as Xin Yue, in fact I’m quite happy with all three main leads acting.

Thanked god I watched the uncut version again because the hunan version editing was so choppy

      3. I completely agree, when the cut the episodes it feels like they were doing it blindfolded in the cutting room, nothing made sense. I liked Xin Yue too and I love Jiu Ye. I need to see more of Wei Wu Ji before I decide 🙂 thought I lean towards him favourably at this point

  4. Eddie Peng didn’t disappoint me as HQB.. from the beginning he was cast as HQB I was so please, I knew he would rock the role, he got this boyish arrogance and the swagger of HQB and the body build to be a warrior and lover.Unlike Hu Ge, he kinda to soft to play HQB..

    1. Definitely not, I think Hu Ge can pull off HBQ’s role, have you seen him in Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008? I thought he did a pretty good job as Guo Jing. However I think he suited Meng Jiu more, and Eddie fitted his perfectly ❤

  5. Suteki, sorry to ask, but have you ask for subber’s permission (mj01191) to upload their link on your site? We don’t want them to be upset and then decided to stop subbing the rest of the episodes. Great job anyway, love your blog.

      4. Yes koala has translated the novel if you want to read it. I guess timing is always important. When SS wanted to be with HG, he pushed her away. Then EP slowly won her heart.

      6. firstly because of his condition, and secondly he asked her whether she wanted a family and she replied yes, she always admire the happiness of having a family to share the laughter and etc with.

If I remember correctly Hu Ge is unable to have children, or he didn’t want his children to inherit the same illness as him, hence he doesn’t want to have kids

  6. Thanks for the uncut episode links, sutekii! I have been been having a hard time finding the uncut version. I watched all the uncut episodes in one go, and now I have to painfully wait for the next update. 😦

      1. I am probably one of the few people who have not read the translated novel yet, so I am purely basing my opinions on the drama alone.

I feel that the beginning is a bit abrupt, where both men meet Xin Yue only once in the desert and suddenly take such an interest in her to seek her out when she came to the capital.

I am also confused about why Qin Xiang is so determined to enter the Palace. Yes, I understand that she wishes to influence the Emperor’s actions behind the scenes, but I cannot seem to FEEL her passion for revenge. Maybe the novel does a better job of showing and explaining Xin Xiang’s passion for revenge, but the drama is doing a poor job of conveying this. Maybe it’s the script? Maybe it’s Fala Chen’s portrayal?

I like the love triangle so far. I think it is very well done. I tend to prefer 2 guys-1 girl love triangles because there is less whining and petty backstabbing involved than in 2 girls-1 guy love triangles. I also love that Xin Yue is not wish-washy at all in this love triangle. She only has eyes for Jiu Ye and does not waver in her choice, even though there is a very hot, willing, and available Wu Ji constantly by her side.

By the way, the name changes feel weird, and I haven’t even read the novel yet. I bet people who have read the novel and have become accustomed to the original names must feel totally weirded out by the new names. 😛

      2. Well I think its the script and Fala Chen’s acting. The reason why she wants to enter the palace is to seek revenge from the Emperor for causing her father’s death. Yes the name changes did annoy a lot of fans of the novel.

  7. OMG OMG OMG The chibis and sketches are so beautiful! I’m looking forward to a lot of scenes ❤ I'm gradually jumping onto the Wu Ji and Xin Yue ship (my efforts to stay away from Jiu-ye is paying off!), but I do hope that Jiu-ye gets to see her in the royal blue robe once for I think that is her prettiest outfit till date.

    1. I’ve always been on that ship, whether it was the novel or the drama, so jump on whenever you want… I’ll catch you. Her robe is indeed really beautiful. The irony of jiu yue giving her the wedding dress, yet wu ji saw her in first.
